So today was better than I expected but as good as I hoped. My group didn't get to go today, which is okay because one of our members decided not to show up. Math really helped me review for my test on Monday. Anthropology was as boring as ever until the end when he showed an interesting clip from a NOVA special. History as always was awesome! I really think that being a History teacher is in my future. Which brings me to something I barely touched on yesterday, teaching. After spending all day with Autistic children in a classroom, I really loved it. It made me long for the days when I was in high school and teaching that pre-school class. I don't care if they say kids are not paying as much attention or whatever excuse teachers used to become disgruntled and impatient, I loved their reactions and excitement. Some of the teachers were so grumpy and irritated at the slightest thing. I wanted to go up to them and be like, why are you still teaching when it's obvious you no longer love your job? Teaching is one of those things I think that you have to love your job to be good at. A student can tell if you hate your job and are only there for a paycheck, so why not at least learn to love it?
So that brings me to my main point: Do I major in History/Literature or do I major in education? I still think that majoring in a core subject leaves more room for improvement, especially with someone like me who wishes to get at LEAST a Masters. It would also leave me room to be a professor for college if I didn't want to teach middle or high school. I don't know and I'm grateful that as of right now I still have enough core classes to take that I don't have to decide this minute. I do like having a plan and a goal in mind though, so you know I'll make a decision before the end of this semester.
The good things about myself is that even though I pretend to be a procrastinator, I'm really not (well for most things.) I hardly have any homework this weekend because I did it all on Wednesday *insert cheer here*. I do need to study as I have two exams next week and another one the Monday following. All I can think about right now is how I have to work in 5 hours and my stomach is growling.
So there you have it, the thoughts of me for today before work. After work I probably will be so exhausted that my thoughts will consist of my feet hurt, I'm hungry and passing out.
Hope everyone has a great weekend,
Aprill
Everyone wants to balance gaming with real life. However gaming, college, working two jobs and go to a full season of hockey? It's a challenge. Take a walk and see what it's like to be a nerd like me.

Friday's my new Monday.
Today I awoke for my first substituting job at 6:30 a.m. This is actually sleeping in from my normal school schedule however I'm still exhausted. I raided last night until a little after midnight (also usual)but unlike usual today is Thursday. Most people look forward to Friday. Yay the weekend, they all scream. No school, Business people are off from work, and the kids go out to play. Fridays for me are like Mondays. Friday starts off with waking up at 6 a.m for class, going to class until 11:50 a.m, fighting the traffic in the UTA parking lot until 12:30, trying to find a meatless dish for lunch and include everyone, doing homework, changing going to work at 6:30p.m., Closing the restaurant at 11, Get home around 12:30 a.m. or 1 a.m., Eat dinner, pass out. Just sounds like a busy day right? Right. Saturday you ask? Wake up late- around 9 a.m. go to work between 10:30 and 11:00a.m., pray at work that I make decent money and hope my replacement is scheduled, get home at 5p.m., eat dinner, do homework until 8:30p.m., Log onto Eq2 (yay fun time!) until Midnight, do homework some more, pass out. Sunday- Wake up late again 9 a.m., go to work until 6p.m., come home, eat dinner, do homework, pass out- Go to class on Monday.
So there you have my weekend.....Friday is the new Monday for this Nerd.....
Only a few days until hockey season, it'll be interesting to see how I throw that in the balance!
Wish me luck my friends, this nerd has a lot on her plate,
